The adjustable headband can be worn over outdoor activity specific helmets. The Scout 3X features two lighting modes, max mode, and min mode. In max mode the headlamp has a 300-lumen light output with a beam distance of 60-meters. In min mode the headlamp has a 50-lumen light output with a beam distance of 30-meters. It also features night vison-mode. The 3XT is powered by x3 AAA batteries (included). It is also compatible with the Silva Hybrid Battery, 38007, (see related items) which means you can upgrade the 3XT into a rechargeable headlamp. The runtime varies depending on modes used and conditions, from 5.5 to 70 hours.
